Blake Bailey, the author

You may not know that when I am not practicing law, I spend some of my time writing novels. I have written three novels, Edge of the Cave, Zapatista and most recently, The Thought of Her.

Zapatista is a historical novel about the 1994 Mayan Revolution in Chiapas, Mexico. About stepping out of the mainstream, Zapatista is a story of courage and adventure.

Well-received by a group of civil rights activists in Serbia, Zapatista was translated into Serbian, and has served as an anthem of universal struggle and peaceful resistance. I recently traveled to Belgrade, Serbia to give speeches about the book's message, and to march with the Freedom Fighters in a May Day rally.

Additionally I wrote two other novels: Edge of the Cave and The Thought of Her

Edge of the Cave is a philosophic novel about a man who seeks and reaches inspirational wisdom from the points of view of various religions and philosophies. It explores the witty, sometimes sarcastic relationship between John Yates and those he meets.

The Thought of Her is a true non-conformist novel. A story of transformation and self-awareness. The book is for any reader ready for adventure and romance.
